Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pilates Instructor to join our fitness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness and a desire to help clients achieve their health and wellness goals through Pilates. As a Pilates Instructor, you will lead engaging classes, provide personalized instruction, and create a supportive environment that encourages participants to improve their strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
Arrive 10 minutes early, assure room is prepared for the start of class.
Professional, positive and polished presentation from beginning to end.
Training focus for each track is introduced, programming cues and general correctional cues are given with clarity at appropriate time.
Connection with participants is informative, energetic, encouraging and fun.
Music and mic volume within specified range.
Engagement and inclusion of all participants through recognition, eye contact and body language.
Programming (timing and execution) is delivered following the release format confidently.
Correct form is demonstrated, options/modifications for movements are shown throughout.
Remains up to date with programming, follows set programming timelines (changes tracks following program guidelines) and seeks consistency among the team with delivery of program. Maintains and builds upon skills and program knowledge.
Communicates with professionalism, provides and receives feedback.
Reports concerns to the Director in relation to equipment (missing or malfunctioning) and environment (temperature, cleanliness).
Attends rehearsals, meetings, launches and other classes taught by teammates.
Fulfills responsibility to team- subbing for teammates as needed, follows through on coverage with confirmation received from sub and ensures communication of the coverage to Director.
Greet attendees, provide special instructions for equipment/ set up needed.
Begin class on time
Attire and nametag to be worn in accordance with handbook
Introduce self and name the Class/Session.
Announcements upcoming events/news of The PC.
Provide a brief summary of the Class/Session format, share what to expect for the session.
End class/session on time with enthusiasm and appreciation to participants for efforts. Remind them of the next scheduled session.
Remain until the end and be available for questions, assistance and feedback.
Turn off equipment, lock up cabinets and doors.
Non-Essential Function: Recruit members and non-members to enroll in our programs.
Skills
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to movement and exercise.
Experience in sports coaching or personal training is preferred.
Ability to educate clients on body mechanics for improved performance and injury prevention.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire clients.
A passion for fitness and helping others achieve their health goals.
Required Qualifications
Current Reformer Pilates Certification.
1+ year(s) experience teaching reformer pilates.
Employee with assigned class/session: Ability to fulfill weekly scheduling requirements teaching 80-90% of regularly scheduled classes throughout the year.
Ability to attend a minimum of four (4) scheduled team meetings per year.
Must have the ability to sub for other members on the team as needed.
Subs: Ability to fulfill the sub availability requirement (12 times per year to maintain the employee membership at the Junior rate).
Preferred Qulaifications
Education in exercise, health or fitness related field

Pay: $17.66 - $25.66 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week
